NdFeB, SmCo and ferrites are most commonly used for the permanent magnet powders. The magnetic and mechanical properties of plastic-bonded magnets are determined by the choice of material composition and manufacturing process. Despite the lower magnetic properties of the plastic-bonded magnets compared to the solid materials, the applications are steadily increasing. A major advantage of the plastic-bonded magnets lies in the great variety of shaping possibilities of the magnets.
