Samarium-Cobalt-Magnets

In addition to the NdFeB magnets, the SmCo magnets also contain rare earths. Compared to the NdFeB magnets, SmCo magnets have higher energy products at temperatures above approx. 200 °C, which is the reason that SmCo magnets are preferred at higher temperatures. For example SmCo magnets are used for calibration of measuring devices, in servomotors and as sensors in the automotive industry.
